Magazine Covers - Ms Wigly

Four Four Two

Four four two is a football magazine which is targeted at men. The magazine cover uses symbolic & written codes to appeal to its audience. The central main image is a picture of the famous football icon David Beckham. This is a medium shot to which enables the readers to see that David Beckham is wearing his team colours. This will appeal to the audiences as the magazine is most properly about football. Since four four two is a football magazine they use a famous football star In order to show the genre of the magazine just by looking at the main image.  Four four two have already used a technical code in order to appeal to its audience.
Four four two have used written codes in order to appeal to its audience. The use of its bright red coloured masthead appeal to its audience as it stands outs in front of the plain white background.  Also, it also adds a contrast to the red carpet that David Beckham is standing on connoting that he is a famous superstar across the world.  This is one of the symbolic codes that four four two have used on their front cover.
David Beckhams body language suggests that he is in control of the ball. This can also connote that he is in control of the sport itself “football”. His body language identifies him as a important person in the football world.
Four four two have used written codes in order to engage readers on the front cover. The use of colour text informs the readers about additional stories. For example, “exclusive interview with David Beckham” which is in white colour over laying the red carpet.

This movie poster is showing the film The Evil Dead, the genre for this movie is a horror. I think that the age group for this film can possibly be 16+ as horror is a genre liked by many audiences across the world. The gender of this film is sterotypically to be males as they like scary films more than women. The ethinicity of people who are most likely to watch this film are mainly the whites because the main image on the poster shows a white lady. The socio economic class can vary as many people from different groups may dislike or like horror films. I think that socio class D & E would suit this film as many of the viewers may be teengers who are still students or the OAP`s. The young and Rubicams Pyscographic profiles in this case would be the explorers as they want to carry on investigating the film into more detail.

The blue background colour can connote that the lady is gasping for air as she may have been under-water for a long period of time. The main image can interpelate the audience to think that the lady in the main image is being strangelled to death by someone elses hand. This obviously connotes death as the lady is reaching the near end of her life. The plain simple white colour of the text immediatly stands out as their is a blue background. This movie poster can grab a lot of readers attension as the text is clear and stands out.

This movie poster shows us the film White Chicks and genre is a comedy. The age profile is most likely to be 15 - 30. This film can be for anyone as it is a straight up comedy. The gender of the movie is most likely to be both male and female as the two main characters are male yet they dress up as women during the film as they are working undercover for the FBI. The ethinicity is a contrast between white and black, the ID bages show that they are black yet the two males dress up as women and are sprayed white. The socio economic class for this film can vary through to B,C2,D as a comedy can make anyone laugh. Young and Rubicams pyscographic profiles show that the film is for the group of people called aspires as they would be interested in image, appereance, charisma, persona and fashion.

The main image shows 2 males dressed up as females and therefore explains the tittle of the film White Chicks. The 2 males standing in a dominant pose as they are both flashing there FBI badges even though they stand as the dominant males, some audience will start to laugh as they are dressed up as females. The white background brings out the to characters and can cannote simplicity. The text of the poster informs the readers about the two actors real names and say "are white chicks". The layout of the text is simple yet has a blue colour to show their male side. The 2 I`s`are coloured in white yet to reinforce the film name into readers minds.

The film Casino Royale shows dominant ideology as the main protagonist (Daniel Craig) is a Caucasian male. It also represented as being the stereotypical male, tall, white, blue eyes which majority of the audience can relate to. Also, the main character is heterosexual which also identifies all key features of dominant ideology. The main protagonist is also middle aged, this key factor can relate to many of the audiences worldwide. Furthermore, Daniel Craig is shown as being able bodied in the film which also identifies key features of dominant ideology.

Not everything goes to plan and Bond decides to investigate, independently of MI6, in order to track down the rest of the terrorist cell. Following a lead to the Bahamas, he encounters DIMITRIOS (Simon Abkarian) and his girlfriend, SOLANGE (Caterina Murino). He learns that Dimitrios is involved with LE CHIFFRE (Mads Mikkelsen), banker to the world's terrorist organizations.

Secret Service intelligence reveals that Le Chiffre is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game in Montenegro at Le Casino Royale. MI6 assigns 007 to play against him, knowing that if Le Chiffre loses, it will destroy his organization.

'M' (Judi Dench) places Bond under the watchful eye of the beguiling VESPER LYND (Eva Green). At first skeptical of what value Vesper can provide, Bond's interest in her deepens as they brave danger together and even torture at the hands of Le Chiffre.
